Hey Players, Hope you’re all doing well.

With the recent VALORANT update, we had to push out this patch as an emergency release. Riot made new changes to their system for how player names are obtained, which caused unexpected issues inside the app. This update was unplanned, but necessary to restore normal functionality as quickly as possible.

Riot has made similar changes in the past and later reverted them after they broke in-game systems like leaderboards and player name displays. This time, the changes again caused problems both in-game and for third party apps, which is why this update had to be rolled out immediately.

Now for something new.

We’re introducing Experimental Features a new section where upcoming features can be tested early. The first experimental feature is InstaLock Agent, which can now be enabled from Settings. This feature was originally planned for version 1.4.0 alongside other upcoming additions, but we decided to include it early in this emergency update.
